Dana Miller, MA, CCC-SLP, Speech and Language Therapist
Dana Miller, MA, CCC-SLP specializes in working with children ages birth to five years old, in addition to school aged children. Dana's passion is working in early intervention with families in natural settings to teach them how to help their children thrive in all areas of development. Dana takes a family centered, multidisciplinary, play based approach to therapy to support families in building their skill set and confidence to help their children communicate and grow. Dana uses a caregiver coaching model, as well as direct intervention.
Dana has provided speech therapy services to infants and toddlers, preschool age and school age children since 2000. Dana has experience evaluating and treating children with a variety of communication and motor speech disorders. Dana has worked in homes, daycares, and public and private school settings.
Dana is nationally certified with the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed to practice in the state of Maryland.
Dana received a Master of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders from San Diego State University.
Dana received the Bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Advanced Certificate from San Diego State University.
Dana is certified in Reflective Coaching and the Routines-Based Model of Early Intervention.
Dana is certified in Orofacial Myofunctional Evaluation and Therapy.
Dana is certified in the Compton P-ESL Accent Modification Method.
Dana received a Master of Arts degree in Education from The American University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland.
